The Town of Saint-Lazare is looking for residents who want to help improve the well-being of youths (0-17 y. old) and/or families to participate in the Comité de suivi de la Politique familiale municipale and the démarche Municipalité amie des aînés.
The key role of the Comité de suivi de la Politique familiale municipale et de la démarche Municipalité amie des aînés’s members is to follow the advancement of the 2016–2018 action plan ( see the full list here : http://pfm.ville.saint-lazare.qc.ca/?lang=en ) with regards to four (4) specific areas of intervention concerning seniors, youths, person living with a disability and families:
- Transportation, public safety and mobility
- Recreation, community life, healthy lifestyle and accessibility
- The environment
- Housing and accommodations
Composed of 2 elected members, 2 representatives from the Communications Department and 6 residents:
- 2 residents with the well-being of seniors in mind
- 1 resident with the well-being of people living with a disability in mind
- 2 residents for families ( vacant position)
- 1 resident for youth (0-17 y. old) ( vacant position)
The committee will meet at least 4 times a year, generally according to the availabilities of the majority of members. Committee meetings will take place mainly in French.
